FANTASY TIARAS ~ Medieval ~ Gothic ~ Bridal ~ Tiaras & Wedding Flowers

You want to know about me? Well it's really not that exciting I'm afraid! (you have been warned - don't fall asleep now!)

I've been a fully qualified florist for 13 years, and began tiara designing in 1997.

I love this job! I left school and began working in a busy Interflora florist shop whilst attending a horticultural college once a week. I enjoyed working with fresh flowers, designing arrangements, hand-tieds and bouquets on a daily basis. What I loved most of all though was creating Wedding Flowers. In particular, dried & silk flower designs. To look at some fabric samples and get some initial ideas from the bride-to-be, then begin designing something from scratch is a very pleasurable experience. Better yet is seeing the photos of the bridal party at the Wedding and feeling enormous satisfaction from my work.

I believe that experience is a valuable asset in floristry. Whilst I am proud of all the designs I have made in the past, I am happier with the work I'm producing now, and look forward to the inspirations that will dictate my future designs.

Through my website and selling on ebay, I have made bouquets, tiaras and circlets for people all over the world, for all manner of occasions. My latest exports have been sent to New South Wales, Australia and Miami, USA. Many moons ago, I was contracted to design a bespoke gothic bouquet and tiara for a British bride who was going to Las Vegas for her gothic Wedding.

As my personal tastes in clothing, decor and paraphernalia tend to be somewhat Medieval, Gothic and Victorian in nature, I like to reflect the dark decadent styles of those eras in my work.

I have found myself now with a unique opportunity to do the work I love while fulfilling some of the hopes and expectations of many a bride-to-be. Important to note however, that not all of my customers are brides-to-be! I have found more and more that my tiaras and combs are being purchased for gothic festivals (like the transcendant Whitby Festivals), Clubbing, Parties and Medieval themed events. I would love to receive more customer photos with their Fantasy Tiaras purchases which will be included in the Gallery on my website. (See the website for details).

There are going to be many more designs to come; tiaras, bouquets, circlets, combs, jewellery and accessories - so please be sure to visit often and see what's new!

Even if you don't wish to purchase anything at present, I hope you enjoy browsing through the designs in 'The Black Faerie' ebay shop and on this website - as much as I've enjoyed making them!

Kindest Regards,
Jo
